Ciao community,
some weeks ago I've earned RHCA (infrastructure) status (yeeeeehhhhh)
last day I did ex328, as expected RHCA II status has been issued,
but the expiration date is still related to my older exam, I've expected that would shift to the next in line
I'm missing something? For example that ex328 is valid upon RHCA but is not counting for the infrastructure one?

You can get your certifications in any order you like; in order to achieve RHCA status you need:
a) A valid, non-expired RHCE status.
b) 5 contributing, non-expired certifications towards RHCA.
Note that achieving any certification in B will extend your RHCA status automatically until the newest achieved certification expires, so you can take any of those contributing certification exams in any order you desire.

For an RHCA to be active, you need to hold RHCE plus 5 more certifications that contribute towards the RHCA status. The validity date should be the date where you no longer have 5 active certifications, in your current case where your 2nd certification expires.
Does that match your exam dates?

Yes the situation you described is exactly what I expected, I have 5 exams (in addition to RHCE) + the ex328 but is still matching my older eligible exam that expires on December 2023, instead of the following one that expire in March 2024
My doubt (and maybe my question) is that the ex328 concurs to RHCA in Applications and not to the Infrastructure one

For RHCA is it compulsory to do certifications in exact order ? I have RHCSA and EX180 certifications. If I complete my RHCE and another 4 Certifications for Openshift, Ansible and Linux Security in any order would it qualify or do I need to do 5 certs after my RHCE certification ?

My RHCA expires in July this year due to EX180 certificate expiring. I have EX280v410 certificate. If I clear EX280v414 will it be counted as a different certificate or overlap with my current EX280V410 certificate for RHCA eligibilty ? I am hoping to clear EX316V416 before my RHCA expires and possibly hold on to my RHCA badge.
